BIOGRAFIA
A Journey of Passion, Conviction, Artistry and Craftsmanship

 

Tag-i comes from her Armenian name Taguhi. In Armenian Taguhi translates to queen and Tag translates to crown.  Jewels is her English name. Therefore her Artist name is “Tag-i Jewels”.

Her Art journey started when she was very young.

She is known for her Contemporary Style and Dynamic Illustrations.

Like a photograph, her Art tells a story of different moments, countries,  ideas, colors,  feelings captured throughout her journey.  An eclectic album of visuals. 

​

The fruits of her labor derives from her diverse artistic and design skills manifested simultaneously in Art, Fashion, and Jewelry. 

​


She holds Master’s Degree in Advanced Fashion Design from Polimoda International Institute of Fashion Design and Marketing in Florence Italy and she completed her Fashion Design Bachelor's Degree from distinguished Accademia Italiana, where she has showcased two graduate fashion collections. Her first job was fashion design Apprenticeship with the Gucci family. 


She has worked as a Jewelry designer at top diamond jewelry brand in Dubai called Rosy Blue. Tag-i Jewels is an award winning jewelry designer. Awarded by Dubai International Jewelry Week.  She has done her fashion internship in New York City at acclaimed luxury brand Simkhai and worked as fashion designer in Beverly Hills.

 

Currently she also has an exclusive line of evening-wear dress collection under her own label.

Her collection is "Made in Los Angeles".

 


She has worked as a part-time professor of Fashion Design at Woodbury University in Los Angeles.

Tagi Jewels has showcased her Art at Fulton Boggs iconic life-size Sculpture, Installation-Museum in West Hollywood.   



She is based in Los Angeles where her Art Studio is.

The Journey

​​

Being an Armenian Ambassador's daughter, by the time she was 15 years old she had lived 5 years in America, 5 years in India and 5 years in Armenia.  She has American, British & Armenian education at school.

On her own journey from 18 years old to 22 years, she lived in Italy for 4 years.  At 23 she moved to Dubai.

 

At 25 she moved to the United States, where her family had already moved. 

​

Although she started doing art when she was a child, at 14/15 she started  professionally studying classical art from a master painter in Armenia. At that same time, simultaneously she went to a local Atelier & learned how to make clothing professionally. She graduated high school from an art school in Armenia. There was a fashion department at the art school. She showed her first fashion show at 15. She was offered by her Father to go to boarding school around the world, if she wanted to. She didn't take the offer. She stayed in Armenia and did fashion & art until she went to Italy.

​

At 16 she began learning the Italian language, she thought it was one of the most beautiful language. At 18 she went to Italy, Florence the capital of art & fashion where she studied fashion plus started her fashion design career. She considers fashion a form of artistic and spiritual expression.

​

Interesting facts about her:  She loves swimming laps, technology, fruits & writing.

 

She can read and write in American English, British English, Armenian, Italian, Russian & Hindi.

Mission

Tagi Jewels' mission is to help children, teenagers, adults lacking in educational resources. Tagi Jewels believes books are an integral part of life and education. A part of her art sales proceeds will go to providing books to them.

Tagi Jewels has a special love for animals. Her mission is to save animals from abandonment and from being used for experimental causes.
